About the team
The Syndicated Loan Structuring Team ("SLS") roles and responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with branches Relationship Managers to identify the financing needs of new and existing clients ;
- Originating and structuring tailored loan financing solutions;
- Drafting and presenting loan financing proposal for the clients;
- Formulating syndication strategies including activities such as formation of MLAB groups, analyzing the market appetite for transactions;
- Preparing underwriting application and obtaining necessary approval from internal stakeholders;
- Managing the whole process of syndication including acting as documentation agent, coordinating roadshow logistic and supporting related origination work.
Role requirements
- Assist in the end to end origination process for Asia team, including but not limited to the preparation of pitch books, information memorandum, coordinating roadshow logistic, and marketing materials, investors Q&As;
- Conduct comprehensive market research and data analysis to support Senior Originators' business development initiatives;
- Prepare accurate and timely departmental reports and trackers for section head, senior management and the head office;
- Serve as the primary point of contact for third party data providers such as Refinitiv, IFR, Dealogic to ensure seamless data flow and subscription;
- Support the section head in achieving SLS's overall profit targets and strategic business objective through diligent credit and market analysis as well as administrative support;
- Maintain a systematic and organized filing system to ensure efficient data retrieval and full compliance with audit requirement.
Essential Functions
To support the SLS section head, in pitching, structuring syndication related solutions as well as internal coordination including prepare accurate and timing reports to support business initiative.

- Self-motivated individual who consistently analyzes process to drive quality and efficiency;
- Manages daily routine responsibilities independently and handles complex cases by obtaining necessary guidance from section head;
- Builds strong working relationship with other team members and stakeholders and collaborate effectively to achieve team goals.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple live transactions/ tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Work experience, education and skills
- Bachelor's degree holder in Business, Finance or related fields; Professional qualifications such as CFA or CPA are highly regarded;
- Minimum 3 years of experience in syndicated loan business;
- Proficiency in using Bloomberg, Refinitiv etc for market data analysis;
- Strong foundation in credit analysis with comprehensive understanding of syndicated loan market mechanics is preferred;
- Advanced proficiency to design and produce high quality pitch books and marketing materials;
- Exceptional commend of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin) is essential for regional coverage
