Your role

This Analyst role sits within the HOLT team in London and provides broad exposure to HOLT's valuation framework by collaborating across the Customs and Data Solutions, Model Development and Investment Strategy teams.
The role is designed for an early-career professional with strong analytical fundamentals who is keen to develop across multiple areas, rather than specialize immediately.
The Analyst will support senior team members across projects spanning research, data analysis, portfolio analytics, impacting client deliverables, while building a strong understanding of how HOLT insights are developed and applied across UBS.
• Support valuation and financial analysis using the proprietary HOLT methodology across companies and sectors
• Collaborate with senior colleagues to support the development of client solutions using HOLT tools and Excel based models
• Provide structured financial and data analysis to support research, investment strategies, and client deliverables
• Support the preparation, maintenance, and quality assurance of HOLT fundamental datasets and analytical outputs
• Contribute to the analysis and ongoing monitoring of equity investment strategies and portfolio analytics
• Assist in delivering standard and bespoke analytical outputs for internal stakeholders and external clients
• Support documentation, testing, and process improvements across models, data, and analytical tools
• Build a working understanding of how HOLT insights are applied across research, investment products, and client workflows

HOLT is a proprietary valuation and analytics platform within UBS, supporting research, investment products, and client solutions across the firm.
This Analyst role offers structured exposure to multiple HOLT capabilities, providing a strong foundation for future development within HOLT or the broader Investment Bank.
The role emphasizes learning, collaboration, and practical application of valuation and data insights, making it an ideal entry point for candidates seeking a broad and flexible early-career path.

Your expertise

• 2-4 years of relevant experience in finance, analytics, research, data, or a related role
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or similar
• Good understanding of financial statements, corporate valuation, and equity markets
• Strong programming fundamentals with a focus on automation and problem solving;
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn across different functional areas
• Demonstrate a passion for financial markets and investment decision-making
• Progress toward CFA or similar professional qualification
• Prior exposure to equity research, investment strategies, or data/analytics roles
• Familiar with Databricks; AI code assistants; NLP and Machine Learning; LLMs and AI Coding tools
