Description
Gainesville Veterinary Hospital is searching for a self-motivated individual to join our team as our next kennel technician. Shifts will include alternating holidays and weekends (including Sunday's). Requirement - Must be comfortable and confident handling BOTH cats and dogs. Wage will be based on experience.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Putting patient care as your highest priority
- Providing care for pets such as potty walks, litter box cleaning, feeding and clean water
- Unboxing clinic deliveries
- Maintaining a clean and sterile work environment
- Laundry, garbage, kennel cleaning
- Assisting with animal restraint
- Other miscellaneous tasks
Qualifications and Skills:
- Being able to work as a team member and independently
- Handle stressful situations with composure
- Must be able to demonstrate a can-do attitude
- Confident customer service presence with our clients
- Reliable transportation
- Excellent work attendance
Physical Abilities:
- Push/Pull/Lift of up to 40 pounds is a regular part of the job duties (without assistance)
- Must be able to be on your feet for long periods of time
