Cascadian Plastic Surgery is seeking a compassionate, motivated Physician Assistant to join our solo plastic and reconstructive surgery practice in beautiful Wenatchee, Washington. This is an exceptional opportunity for a new graduate or experienced PA who is excited to develop expertise in plastic surgery through one-on-one mentorship with a fellowship-trained plastic surgeon. This position offers a rare opportunity to develop clinical and surgical experience in both reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery while serving an important regional need.
Our practice cares for patients undergoing reconstructive surgery following cancer, trauma, and other conditions, as well as patients seeking body restoration and aesthetic procedures. We are looking for someone who enjoys building long-term relationships with patients and is passionate about guiding them through every stage of their surgical journey.
Position Summary
This position combines clinic-based patient care with first assisting in the operating room. The Physician Assistant will become an integral member of a small, collaborative team and will participate in all aspects of patient care, from initial consultation through postoperative recovery.

Responsibilities:
Clinical Care
- Evaluate patients in clinic under physician supervision
- Obtain histories and perform physical examinations
- Educate patients regarding surgical procedures, risks, benefits, and recovery
- Coordinate preoperative workup and optimization
- Manage postoperative visits and wound care
- Assist with in-office procedures
- Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently
- Coordinate care with referring physicians and other healthcare providers
Surgical Responsibilities
- First assist in the operating room
- Assist with surgical preparation and positioning
- Participate in perioperative patient management
- Assist with postoperative care and follow-up
Practice Operations
- Help oversee the in-office procedure room
- Assist with inventory management and supply ordering
- Help maintain equipment and procedural readiness
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Support efficient clinic workflow as needed
Call Responsibilities
- Participate in shared evening and weekend call, including patient phone calls, emergency department calls, and inpatient rounding.
- Provide occasional emergency department evaluations when needed
- Call volume is generally light and consists primarily of patient phone calls with infrequent hospital visits.
Training
Extensive one-on-one training will be provided directly by the supervising plastic surgeon. Prior plastic surgery experience is not required. We are committed to helping the right candidate develop the clinical and surgical skills necessary for a successful career in plastic and reconstructive surgery.

Requirements
Required
Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C)
Current or eligible Washington State Physician Assistant license
Current DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Positive, team-oriented attitude
Enthusiasm for assisting in the operating room
Outstanding professional references
Preferred
Interest in plastic and reconstructive surgery
Interest in perioperative and postoperative patient care
Surgical assisting experience is welcome but not required
