INTRODUCTION: Human Resources will screen applications and supplemental questionnaires. The successful candidate may be required to pass a job-related physical evaluation.
The ideal candidate is a passionate, dedicated, and responsible Process Control Systems Engineer with progressively responsible experience in the design, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and support of industrial control systems, preferably within water treatment, water transmission, or water distribution. The candidate is a recognized technical leader with extensive experience in Rockwell Automation ControlLogix, PlantPAx, Studio 5000, FactoryTalk, and AVEVA System Platform SCADA development and maintenance. They possess a proven ability to develop robust, maintainable PLC software, implement advanced control strategies, lead complex system projects, and modernization efforts.
The ideal candidate demonstrates expert knowledge of industrial networking, Ethernet/IP communications, cybersecurity best practices, and secure Operational Technology architectures. They possess a broad understanding of process control systems, instrumentation, SCADA, historians, networking, and enterprise data integration, along with excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills. The ideal candidate has experience leading multidisciplinary teams, developing technical standards, and collaborating across operations, maintenance, engineering, and enterprise technology. Professional registration as a Professional Engineer, preferably in Control Systems Engineering, or certification as a Certified Automation Professional is strongly preferred. A PMP certification, other automation certificates, or networking certificates are highly desirable.
