Description
Senior Speech Pathologist Acute Rehabilitation Unit & Subacute Inpatients (Permanent, Full-Time)
Tasmanian Health Service, South
Are you a Speech Pathologist looking for your next adventure — or maybe just a workplace where the coffee is strong, the team is friendly, and your professional growth is genuinely supported? We’ve got just the role for you.
We’re inviting applications for a Senior Speech Pathologist to join our collaborative and welcoming team at the Repatriation Centre, Hobart. This is a great opportunity to step into a senior clinical role within a department that values curiosity, kindness, excellence and a good laugh.
About the Role:
You’ll be part of a team of around 25 Speech Pathologists working across a variety of clinical areas. Whether you’re already experienced in a particular specialty or keen to broaden your scope, we’ll provide all the training, supervision, and support you need to feel confident and capable.
We know starting something new can be daunting — so we’ve built a culture where asking questions is encouraged, learning is continuous, and no one expects you to know everything on day one (or even day two).
What We Offer:
- A senior clinical role in a team that’s serious about care, but not too serious about itself
- Structured support to help you develop new clinical skills, including supervision and peer mentoring
- Opportunities to contribute to service development and take on leadership responsibilities
- Involvement in mentoring junior staff and students from the University of Tasmania
- Generous professional development support, including a PD budget, paid travel to relevant events, and access to supervision
- A central location near Hobart’s waterfront — with excellent donuts, world-class pinot noir, and sunsets viewed from kunanyi / Mount Wellington that make even the busiest days feel worth it
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in Speech Pathology, with a willingness to keep learning
- A commitment to evidence-based practice and collaborative care
- Enthusiasm for mentoring and leadership
- Alignment with our values of Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence (CARE)
This position is based in Hobart, just a brief stroll from the stunning Battery Point. We’re proud to foster a workplace culture that supports your growth, values your contributions, and ensures you feel safe and supported every step of the way.
