Description
The Travel Analyst, Business Travel & Procurement Analytics supports global travel analytics efforts for a prestigious entertainment company by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting travel data to generate actionable insights. The role transforms multi-source travel data into reports and dashboards that support spend management, supplier strategy, travel policy compliance, and traveler experience.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Aggregate, clean, and analyze travel data from booking systems, expense tools, and other sources.
- Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
- Monitor travel spend, compliance, and key performance metrics, identifying trends and savings opportunities.
- Develop predictive models to analyze multiple hypothetical scenarios to support program initiatives.
- Provide data insights to balance safety, cost optimization, traveler experience, compliance, and operational feasibility.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights that guide supplier strategy, travel policy, and cost optimization.
- Support data governance by ensuring quality, consistency, and accuracy in reporting.
- Stay informed on industry trends, benchmarking, and travel analytics best practices.
Qualifications:
- 3–7 years of experience in travel analytics, airline sourcing, or a related field.
- Experience managing airline RFPs and analyzing airline programs, contracts, and performance data.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and provide actionable recommendations.
- Skilled in report generation and data visualizations by utilizing BI tools; experience with Power BI or Tableau preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized, proactive individual, able to simultaneously manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines and capable of pivoting as priorities change.
Nice-to-Have:
Familiarity with TMC platforms, expense management tools, and CRM systems.
Experience supporting travel policy, procurement, or supplier performance initiatives.
CBAP/ECBA (Business Analysis), CBTA (Global Travel Professional), Lean Six Sigma.
